A GoFundMe page identified a three-year-old named Amiri as the victim of the Wednesday, Oct. 16 crash. Evesham police said the boy died after the wreck on Route 73 near Holtec Drive.
Amiri was survived by his pregnant mother Jahamala Traylor, his father Kerry, and his three siblings.
"Amiri's positive attitude and boundless love will be deeply missed," wrote Leon Kelly, the fundraiser's organizer. "He had a unique way of brightening even the darkest days, reminding us all to cherish life, no matter how challenging it may be. The void he leaves behind is impossible to measure."
The GoFundMe page had raised more than $9,610 from at least 199 donations as of Thursday, Oct. 24.
Kelly also described Amiri as a "vibrant" boy "who brought light into our lives."
"Amiri, who was diagnosed with autism, faced many challenges, yet he approached each day with an infectious joy and a spirit that inspired everyone around him," Kelly wrote.
Evesham police responded to the crash at around 12:30 p.m. Officers and firefighters tried to save the boy's life before he was rushed to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 81-year-old driver from Cherry Hill remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been announced as of press time.
Anyone with information about the crash should call the Evesham Township Police Department at 856-983-1116 or 856-983-4699.
